Education and Career: I work as the Executive Director of the Albany County Public Library Foundation and the Public Relations Specialist for the Albany County Public Library. I also work as the editorial assistant and contributor of AlumNews, the University of Wyoming alumni publication.

Over the past several years I have assisted with multiple research studies. Most recently, I was part of a study that examined how Wyoming residents and young voters use new media outlets for political information.  The paper written on this research is set to be published soon. I was also part of a service-learning grant where I explored how digital storytelling can benefit a community. I successfully wrote grants to fund this project.

Background: I was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and now live in Laramie, Wyoming. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially when it involves travel. My biggest accomplishment is earning the Congressional Award Gold Medal, the only award Congress presents to everyday citizens. To earn the award, I had to perform over 400 hours of community service and I had to complete several other goals involving physical fitness, personal development, and explorations.

Hobbies: One of my biggest hobbies is travel. My favorite place I have visited is St. Malo, Brittany in France. I learned to snorkel on a trip to Hawaii and spent time fishing while in Alaska. I also weathered the 16 hour plane ride to visit Australia.

Another hobby of mine is reading and writing. My favorite book is “Along for the Ride” by Sarah Dessen. I enjoy reading almost any genre. I cultivated my love of reading by working as a volunteer at the Laramie County Public Library for six years.

In addition, I like to be outdoors whether it be hiking or snow shoeing. I have also recently gotten into rock climbing. One of my biggest outdoor hobbies is horseback riding. I have enjoyed the activity since I was very young and now work with green broke horses helping them get ready to be lesson horses.
